FIFO

The FIFO policy evicts the first page that was accessed. The order of pages in the list do not change, even when there is a hit. Since the order doesn’t change, FIFO can be implemented cheaply.

Colors

• The first page is blue
• The last page is red
• The pages in between are a mix of these two colors
